IPBA Arts Workshops for Kids from Age 3

The Instituto Potosino de Bellas Artes runs more than 50 workshops in its August–December 2026 semester across seven areas: visual arts, dance, theater, music, photography, literature and 'Exploración de las Artes', accepting children from age three. Classes started August 24 and registration stays open until spaces fill (Mon–Fri 8:30–20:30) at Av. Universidad and Constitución, Centro Histórico; fees are a single payment per semester.
FERETI 2026 – Tierranueva Regional Fair (San Nicolás Tolentino)

The Pueblo Mágico of Tierranueva (about 70 km from the capital) honors its patron San Nicolás Tolentino with a ten-day fair, September 1–10, 2026. Teatro del Pueblo program: queen's coronation (Sep 2), a K-pop Demon Hunters themed show (Sep 3), Artemio Peña Jr. (Sep 4), Los Recios (Sep 5), Felinos (Sep 6), Klan Norteño (Sep 7), Trío Aurora Hidalguense (Sep 8), La Fortaleza and Banda La Exclusiva (Sep 9) and the traditional baile de feria on September 10. Regional food, jaripeos and religious activities throughout.
CEART Kids' Art Initiation: Pingüicas and Iniciación Artística

The Centro de las Artes' August–December 2026 term includes Pingüicas, a play-based interdisciplinary arts workshop for preschool-age children, plus Iniciación Artística programs in music, theater, dance and visual arts, children's painting and beginner photography. Classes run through December 2026; schedules and fees at ceartsanluis.mx/oferta-educativa, registration in person at Servicios Escolares, Monday–Friday 8:00–15:00.

🚗 Uber and DiDi work well throughout the city. To visit multiple places in a day, consider renting a car — parking is cheap ($20-40 MXN/hr).
