Mexico's premier charrería event (a UNESCO intangible heritage sport) comes to San Luis Potosí: the Federación Mexicana de Charrería's 82nd Congreso y Campeonato Nacional Charro runs October 8 – November 1, 2026 at Arena Potosí, with 171 charro teams from Mexico and the US and about 160 escaramuza (women's) teams competing over 25 days of daily charreadas. Dates confirmed by the FMCH in March 2026 and reiterated by the state government in August.
