What is FENAPO?
The Feria Nacional Potosina (FENAPO) is Mexico's most important and traditional fair. Held every year during August in San Luis Potosí, it coincides with the patron saint festivities honoring San Luis Rey de Francia (August 25), the city's patron saint.
With over half a century of history, FENAPO brings together culture, entertainment, gastronomy and commerce at the Recinto Ferial, a 30+ hectare venue that transforms for nearly a month into the center of Potosino social life.
The fair generates over 2 billion pesos in economic impact and attracts more than 3 million visitors each edition, making it the state's most important tourism event.
Organized annually by the Government of the State of San Luis Potosí, FENAPO is one of the largest state fairs in Mexico.
